ABOUT ME...I'm from London, England. I love new music and rare sounds. In England I worked as a print journalist. I moved to Canada late 04 but it took me four crazeee years working as a painter, a baker to see the light and kick start my media career at BCIT. I became a programmer at Vancouver Coop Radio in 05 and currently host and produce content for The Rational, Mondays 6-7pm.
Random fact? Right now I am listening to a lot of dub. My top 3 songs would have to be: Julie by The Levellers
One thing I always have on me other than my cell phone... a pen. Favorite quote? |
Hello all
Just a quick note to remind peeps of the Echoes podcasts. It was with much excitement that I did the Echoes feature.
I did three pieces in the end - a look at the Japanese Hall on Vancouver's Alexander Street, then a 'mod' history piece on the mall Metropolis at Metrotown. The last item was a look at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby - home at least for now to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Follow the pages - podcasts, echoes.
Muchos appreciated.
Check out all the podcasts on the site.

That's right. We want to know where you are as you listen to Evolution1079.
Even better, don't just tell us where you are but send a picture too.
Something unique would be great, perhaps you standing next to a sign with the name of your street or town. You get the idea.
Send them in, to allofus@evolution1079.com
It's not often that a news story appears on the front page on our website.
In little under a month we will all be talking, and blogging about the Olympics, a large sporting event.
So perhaps we do talk about news events on Evolution 1079. The tragedy in Haiti is heartbreaking. Everyday since the earthquake I've heard stories that both fill me with fear for the Haitians and also stories of joy, finding people alive.
Also the return of the Kootenay youngsters to Canada put a smile on my face, if only for a second before my thoughts return to the Haitians left behind.... more>
Stuart Hammond of Haiti Solidarity BC returned from Haiti a week ago.
He talks of his fact finding trip as part of a human rights delegation.
